The Hoopa is a surfer shirt, it is just like the Hoopa but in short sleeves ("pokole" means "short" in Hawaiian). A surfer shirt is made with the fabric inside-out... intentionally. Surfers would wear their shirts on the water and they would fade due to salt water and sun. To match this faded look, canny Honolulu shirtmakers made these inverted shirts. Almost unkown on the mainland, they are common on the islands.
